Inspiration for post:  “Nampa charter school loses Bible Appeal”, http://www.ktvb.com/news/local/Nampa-charter-school-loses-Bible-appeal–128032038.html, as appeared 08/19/11.

First, let it be said that I do not favor school systems, in general, as they exist.  (I hope to blog more on that, later.)  That having been said, I think schools should teach possibilities — and aspects of the Bible, and other religious works, are possibilities.  It’s very important to teach students what possibilities and theories exist, so they can better formulate their own and are more open to other people’s opinions and theories ~~ essential for peace on so many levels.  Teaching possibilities inspires creative minds, ones that can invent and solve problems.  Though the problem with teaching “the Bible”, perhaps, is the great number of possible interpretations of it, it should not be left out of students’ learning experiences.
